Sadly, that aren't wrong.
Then again, nobody should be named publicly until conviction, and the rest of us don't get that protection either. So, great, give that the cops, and to the rest of us. Until there's a finding of wrongdoing, it's simply not a good thing for anyone to be accused of something and have that blasted everywhere.
Or, since the rest of us don't get that privilege/right (depending on how society wants to treat it), neither do they.
