This article has some bullshit in it. I don't doubt the reporting; I doubt the authorities. Per actual Federal law, a finding of being mentally incompetent to stand trial means the defendant is incarcerated indefinitely, not released. Why the hell was this guy on the streets?
Yeah, that was my first reaction. Wtf is this "released because he was found incompetent to stand trial"?
