Adelaide's, The Superjesus were one of the late nineties Australian bands who followed the North American commercial Alternative Rock template, at least IMO. Like a lot of bands, they would have started in the dingy pub scene, getting picked up by community radio and having some appeal to the goth/metal/hard rock indie-head, but instead of subsisting on indie record labels and limited airplay, got picked up by a major label and were able to cross over onto FM rock radio.

You can probably tell from my post history that I was a bit more into the less obvious side of alt rock and indie, but I did sometimes enjoy the odd track like this one from the 1997 album, Sumo. I like Sarah McDonald's vocals on this one. I can't listen to the whole album, though.
