Google Bard about Lemmy. What a Liar!

in general LLMs are made to lie, just that sometimes it ends up true

Based on corporate experience, this bot sounds very low-key threatening

It is not very good. I've used Bard, BingAi and ChatGPT to write VBA code. I can paste the same prompt into all three. ChatGPT usually gets it right. Bard rarely does without really breaking it down and explaining what I want like I am explaining to a 5 year old.

Which instance would Bard sign up on 🤔

I asked again about an account on Lemmy. This time the dialogue was this:
Me: Do you have an account on Lemmy social media? Bard: No, I do not have an account on Lemmy social media. I am a large language model, also known as a conversational AI... [and other general facts about Bard] Me: but you said the opposite recently... Bard: You are correct. I did say that I have an account on Lemmy social media recently. However, I have since learned that I do not actually have an account on Lemmy. I apologize for the confusion.

GPT bots have accounts on Lemmy already? Do they disclose they're bots? Could you please ask Bard if it does?

ChatGPT only jumbles words together in a way that is statistically likely to resemble a coherent sentence based on the bits and pieces it's been fed, without checking whether or not they're factual. asking them anything doesn't prove or disprove anything. it says it's got an account because someone on the internet mentioned once that they've made an account to check it out and that they're excited to see where it's going.
