Thought for the day!
How much time to you give yourself, when you are not looking at a screen per day?
Reminder to vote, the last day (election day) is tomorrow! It came up pretty quick.
I spend an ungodly amount of time in front of a screen on work days. Maybe an hour of the day not with a screen. But on weekends I do a bit better, taking the kids out places, playing with lego, etc.
Is it just me, or is this the best time of the year for avocados? You can often find them for less than $1, might need some ripening but totally worth it!
I don't think they're in season... maybe all the stockpiling and charging $9 a few months ago backfired?
I journal in the mornings whilei have my coffee. It's become a hugely important ritual and helps me figure out if I really have a reason to stress myself out (spoiler: generally I'm imagining stuff for the sake of being miserable).
Aside from that, about the only time I'm not in front of a screen is when I'm awake at some random hour of the night.
That's actually a really good question, I hadn't really thought about it much and probably need to make some changes.
I'm happy to sit at my computer for 99% of the day. As long as I get my run and gym in for the day.
Really depends. Usually if I spend too much time on the compuer one day, I'll make a point to stay off it the next if I can. Still use a bit of the ipad during downtimes in the evenings though
I'm feeling back to baseline doing a lot of laundry. Yesterday I accomplished two chores before my body crapped out: paying a bill and voting. Today I hope to achieve more! Maybe help bake some biscuits or something to welcome some neighbours to the street.
Screen time really depends on so many factors.
I try to not have a screen in front of me for a few hours per day. But it can be hard not fall down rabbit hole and keep looking into things.
Having every answer to everything available at your fingertips is definitely a double-edged sword!
That really awesome, I remember seeing one when I went for a tour of Kapit island in the late 90's
That's so awesome! I heard them a lot growing up but didn't even realise what they were.
