Glad to see people continuing to work on modding b1.7.3 throughout the years!
I've tried it a bit. A lot of people seem to like it, but it wasn't for me personally. Something about the granite textures put me off, and so I ended up going with a paper 1.18.2 modpack I made that has the Nostalgia Tweaks mod, plus a few other mods that bring modern minecraft in line with b1.7.3 behavior.
