A conditional "Yay!" to Costco. They're a big corp, but in comparison with the others these days, one of the most sane and least worker-hostile. At least last I heard, they had very good worker health-care and pension plans. And they still hadn't increased the price of that hot dog. I don't have a membership but the hot dogs still call to me....
I have no idea how ethically-sourced their inventory is though. Probably not better than the others, but I'll take what I can get for wins in this era.

As a retail wholesaler carrying most major brands, I think they just stock whatever people are buying. You can buy bulk Nestlé products there for example.
Best way to vote for products is still with your wallet. I've seen some ethical alternatives there before. Not sure what more you can do other than directly contacting them though.

I've heard in recent years they're starting to decline and become more like Walmart in terms of employee treatment. They're removing employee agency and imposing more strict rules. But YMMV depending on the location as I think the changes are rolling out on a per store basis.

Maybe someone can explain this to me: How is it that Trump can get away with all this illegal shit? Like, not in terms in criminal charges, but in terms of why the fuck is anyone doing what he says? It seems everyone agrees that Trump's tariffs are illegal, so why are they being enforced? Why are they being paid? Why are government orgs complying with illegal demands?

That money's gone. It magically disappeared into Trump family coffers in the Cayman Islands or Swiss bank accounts or someplace. In any case, no one will ever see it again.
So if by some miracle Costco wins their suit, and if by another miracle the Supreme Court doesn't overturn that result, the only way anyone is getting repaid anything is by collecting it out of taxpayer dollars. The money that was actually collected as tariffs is a lost cause. We can look forward to much higher taxes when we are forced to pay back the tariffs that Trump stole.
I swear, the American people must be the stupidest in human existence. Any population with even a single ball between them would have ended all this French-Revolution-style decades ago.
