The Origin Of Mario’s Trademark Death Animation

This was interesting. Thanks for posting this. I guess this is one of those things that I never noticed, despite it being so common.

There is video with every Mario death https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1GVCumK4qf0 I didn't know his death pose is trademarked. What does it even mean ? I can't make character in game die like Mario ?

What I'm really curious about is: why does Mario make that weird face when he dies? Why does his eyes turn red like he smoked some illegal herb?
