🐙—today's ultimate find, an "octopus stinkhorn" or "devil's fingers", i.e., fungus "Clathrus archeri (synonyms Lysurus archeri, Anthurus archeri, Pseudocolus archeri)". This fungus' smell is absolutely horrid.
That's a beautiful shot. The colors are amazing.. No adjustments - the stinkhorn really is that shade?

Thank you. Yeah, no adjustments whatsoever. Except for an occasional crop I stopped doing that half a decade ago because I dislike embellishing what my eyes saw.
