Weekly Stats Sharing + Announcement - October 6th, 2025

Welcome to the second weekly stats share, but before we get into that, a quick update on the community.

As this community is hosted on a PieFed instance, work will be done within the week to utilise PieFed's feature of having community wikis. The first wiki will be resources of desktop applications one can use to track their music listening habits to ListenBrainz, though it is yet to be seen if this will be split into installed programs and those that are browser-based. The goal is to have the resource ready by next Weekly Stats Share, so please keep you eyes peeled and get on my ass if it hasn't been done by then!

In ordinary business, it's time for the weekly Stats share! Showcase the artists you've listened to most this week, the genres you've listened to, where the artists you listen to are from, which albums you've played most this week, and more!

  • To start the post off by contributing myself, this week has been a huge downturn with the music I've been listening to, though a part of that involves my listens on the Auxio app not being picked up by ListenBrainz. While it has been getting better, I need to sort out why that is that ListenBrainz isn't capturing my listens from there consistently.

All in all, the stats for where most artists I've been listening to are from remains more or less the same. There's a disproportionate amount of them from Japan, which comes from the subgenres of EDM I like, though the biggest change is how I've been listening to some Aqua as of late as a guilty pleasure.

As for releases, I did listen to the 2024 remaster of ELECTRIC SYNDROME, and it was brilliant. "All In" by Avans was the track that pulled me into listening to the whole release, and I'm more than glad I did. I forgot how much I liked Solicitude by Aethral, with it having left my memory a while back and just having now resurfaced, and Rabbit House's "MIDI SLAYER" was a near immediate fave track from the album.

Perhaps the biggest surprise for me however was a track that I listened to mostly through Auxio. "Turn Back Time" was a track I would have never expected from Aqua, and it was honestly a beautiful track that's making me want to listen to Aquarium in full this week.
