That's a nice upgrade, I'd like to see one land a hit in protected airspace though, bigger size usually means easier to track and intercept.
I always wonder what tactical objective Ukraine is trying to achieve when they make these types of announcements. What are they trying to make Russia do?
The Neptune was designed as a ship killer and it's proven to be effective. Yes there are other uses for the missile but its famous for killing the Moskva. I guess this one would be terrifying what remains of the black sea fleet. The message, "All of the fleet is vulnerable now wherever they go in the black sea". This comes a just a couple of weeks after some successful drone attacks on the base.
I think they are trying to pin down a large amount of defensive assets to protect and keep the ships in port. Effectively neutralizing these assets from an operational standpoint.
It's also a way to attract potential investors that want to either buy them or license them, or trade with other weapon systems
I think this version is usable against terrestrial targets? Wasn’t there an article the other day about a factory being attacked with one of these?
