Awesome use of GIS! Was not expecting to see the crossover between SMAC and geography, but cartographers continue to be the most interesting people alive lol

Like, Nessus Prime? I thought that was only mentioned in text by the Living Refinery. We never see a map of it in game

What's the current best means of playing Alpha Centauri on modern hardware? Not that I need even more hours in the game...
- Download it off gog and play it. It runs fine.
  If you want some modern civ features like mouse panning the map and overlays, use PRACX.
  
  I never played it back in the day, got into 4X at the tail end of Civ 3 and my formative experiences where with Civ 4/5, so the GOG version is my standard point of reference.
  Mouse panning the map sounds unbelievably helpful.
- You can get it on Steam, I assume it would work through that.
  
  Oh, nice. I'd just assumed it was too old and I'd need a VM or something.
