What does this generally mean, that the person has grown closer to you?

It means they now hate me, probably because of the unspeakable thing I did. I just know they do and I have to avoid them from now on to not offend them further.

It means I'm having a stroke - or best case scenario, they were actually talking to the person behind me all this time and they've just noticed my existence (but that's optimistic)
