It is a coordinated effort. There's a whole website dedicated to it. Something like charliesmurderers.com and it's not the only one. The hypocrisy of demanding we be held to standards they don't hold to is... not even a tiny bit surprising or shocking since they've been doing it for so long. The whole in group/out group thing is very relevant here.
We aren't headed anywhere good. If Dems don't take the midterms, this American experiment is probably over. We are following a classic path and I only know of examples where it has gone to shit, none where crisis was averted, but history is biased towards the things that happened, not the things that almost happened. Cuban missile crisis is the only counter-example that comes to mind.
