Garlic day

Trimmed and sorted my garlic harvest today. I think they were all from saved cloves from previous years.

They are sorted into: seed bulbs (best), use first (smallest, most questionable curing) and other, which is suitable for giving or using at home.

I have some garlic planted, but I am not sure when to harvest. How do you know when it is ready?
- I'm not sure if this is universal so I'll give a lot of specific details about my process:
  Planted from cloves in October/November and mulched over winter.
  trim scapes when they start to curl, to prevent formation of flower/seeds
  wait till most of the flat leaves wilt/brown but not so late that it's getting humid and the ground is wet from autumn rains
  dry outside if possible
  
  Oh no, haha, I found them in the store in the spring so I planted in spring. I also have no scapes, and all the parts I can see are very green. I may put mulch out before first frost and try for harvesting next year.
