How the Working Class Worshipped Billionaires to Their Own Detriment

Was it because it would hurt someone else? I personally don’t see it that way unless specifically someone like trump who was supposed to “hurt the right people.” I always saw it as wannabe part of the good ‘ol boy club and regular corruption. If “my team” wins, then they do things like piss off the libs, take apart gay families, etc. and if I give the billionaires the reins of media and a fat tax break they won’t raise my taxes either (nevermind the ass beating I’ll take with inflation, tariffs, and the rapid enshittification I’ll have to deal with). It was always about greed and prejudice. Not letting anyone else have a dime if they disagreed with who they were. And the entirely stupid view that if their already ridiculously low taxes were lowered further that somwhow everything would be better.
