Generative ai sucks ass and I personally hate it, but could we not kneejerk downvote legitimate and incredibly impactful medical technology just because "AI" is used in the headline?

It's not even genetative ai. This kind of tech probably better labeled machine learning to convey its technological distinction from gen ai.

The new stethoscope developed by researchers at Imperial College London and Imperial College healthcare NHS trust can analyse tiny differences in heartbeat and blood flow undetectable to the human ear, and take a rapid ECG at the same time.

Okay, if you're taking an ECG at the same time that's not just an AI stethoscope, it's a hybrid stethoscope-ECG. Taking an ECG without leads (going based off the lead image) is interesting
