my parents bought a house in 1988 for $125k.
over the years, they took out 3 HELOC's on it.
they are currently paying off ~$125k.
the house is worth ~$1.6M.
i cant.

But you know, inflation adjusted that is equivalent 179k today so it makes perfect sense for it to cost 1.8 million.
