Illinois cops admit they violated First Amendment rights based on vibes

I read your link. It seems kind of counter intuitive compared to how America’s justice system works right now. But, an interaction that went down very similar to what they described changed my life, and definitely for the better.

So, my American mentality screams no, but my own experience says maybe? If Americans are ever going to take something like that seriously I think the word “reparations” will have to be avoided. That word is like “woke”. I read it, my eyes glaze over, and I immediately have a hard time taking anything else the author says seriously.

In all I don’t hate the idea.

My vibe right now is that they should be imprisoned.
- My vibe right now is that caging people (and, more rarely, cops) is not the solution but rather part of the problem. Restorative justice is the way to go.
