Gee I wonder why it would have anti-japanese undertones.
It's kinda surprising how few people know about the atrocities that Japan committed in WWII. Germany gets most of the focus.
Another interesting bit of knowledge is that we consider 1939 and the attack on Poland as the start of the Second World War. However at this point Japan had been fighting in China for a couple of years already.
Yep, we don't get to study the Nanjing masacre, for example unless we go out of our way to learn about it.
