California Legislature approves Newsom's redistricting plan to counter Texas' new congressional map

Edit: Title updated. It has officially passed both the state assembly and the senate. It’s officially going to be on the California ballot in November.

Whenever I want to rip my hair out because of my country's politics I look over there and don't feel better but at least I remember it could be worse.
I really dislike how we've come to this despite realizing it's probably necessary.
- Like radiation therapy to treat cancer. Exposing yourself to intense X-ray radiation usually isn’t a smart idea, but it’s better than the alternative, and at least it’s targeted and controlled.
They should shape one like a donkey just to flex
- They disenfranchised a bunch of Trump voters in a dick shaped one.
And the CA Supreme Court also just threw out the GOP lawsuit against this.
Love the new Humboldt county/North county/fuck it come all the way down to the bay area
- Yeah, that county is the most clearly gerrymandered district in the state. Also, it looks like a giant dong.
  
  That's the dong that will be used to fuck the GOP without lube in the midterms.
