New details, educational institute revealed as Australia's first treaty looms

Under Australia's looming first formal treaty agreement, Victoria's elected Aboriginal body will be given powers to create new institutions.

The First Peoples' Assembly says it plans to create a new education facility to boost the skills of Aboriginal people across the state.

Victoria's first treaty is expected to be signed before the end of this year, with the Statewide Treaty Bill expected to be introduced to parliament in coming weeks.

Yeah, that's going to go down like a lead balloon. As if there aren't enough back room deals done to the chagrin of the population.

Corruption happens behind closed doors. Make everything public. Then everybody can consider it in their own terms.

This is about transparency. Stop giving racists fantasy and theatrical leverage, and give the whole truth, so people can have informed discussions.
