Just leave it up and say you took it down. Don't even stop publishing the data. It's not like he's smart enough to actually go back and make sure you actually did it and he'll forget about it entirely in like a week. And it's not like he's actually going to check. What's he gonna do? Go to space?
Yeah, magically lose the "password" to access the satellite and have it show up somewhere at a canadian or european climate office.
Trump is putting his loyalists in charge of all government agencies though. So any manager who doesn't obey will end up fired and replaced by someone who will.
And I'm sure his loyalists aren't even competent enough to know the difference either. They have their heads so far up their ass you could probably show them a video of a completely different satellite burning up in the atmosphere and they'd believe it.
