Google users are less likely to click on links when an AI summary appears in the results

Yea that's when I close the tab and type in another search engine's URL.

That's probably good for Google's Adsense, they will sell advertiser's a place in the AI summary source list, or only include info from those paid sources. It's like the normal ad results, but without the giant "don't even bother clicking me" label.

Idk what to think of the low interaction with the AI source links, I can't imagine just reading the summary and believing it without skimming the sources.
