If you were the current Dalai Lama, what plan would you have declared in effect to keep the line of succession alive past your death?

You know there's only one Dalai Lama, right? A successor isn't chosen, they look for the reincarnation of the same person.

You may not think that makes sense, but either way, there's no line of succession.
