Facing manpower shortage, Ukrainian brigade turns to women in first-ever female recruitment drive

The funniest thing about men is a lot of them honestly believe women don't understand war better than men do.

You want to talk about firepower, intiative, intelligence and sheer force of willpower, have you ever met an old lady? History is littered with the detritus of facades shattered by women who didn't give a fuck despite being completely outgunned in the situation they were facing, vulnerable in every aspect imaginable, but still wildly strong.

Many women make humans inside their bodies and then eject them like warp cores, they are metal af.

I mean, whatever, I just don't get this whole "should we have women fight in the military or not" handwringing, not only is it childish but the correct response is "oh fuck some of the women I know would be ruthless soldiers, I fear for the enemy they would face" because if you don't know women like that what kinds of women are you hanging out with?

I am from the US, but one thing I notice about (very very verrrry generally) men vs women in my society is that men tend to get obsessed with the aesthetics of violence and strength and lose sight of the meaning of any of it, whereas the women I know that value the capacity for violence or strength tend to see it more as a tool, a means to an end that thus needs to be studied from the perspective of effectively actualizing that end. Sure plenty of men are like that too, but I know so many highly intelligent women who are also driven to become skilled at things because they want to get shit done, and you better not get in their way. If they decide to fight you, you won't see them coming and even if you did you would still lose either from their persistence or shocking acuity at whatever they set their minds to learn.

I mean, men are cool too I guess.

Don't take my word for it, just look at history, past the easy big men who are always lauded in society, look between the cracks of those stories and you will see women staring back at you with a soldier stare.
