Wrap a short section of stiff spring around it when it's new. Should help prevent sharp bends at the plug head.Like this but better
96% of all such frayed charging cables are Apple. It's stunningly bad that a company of that size is unable to deliver good cables. Or worse, unwilling to do so.
You do realize the sensor is most likely 4:3? You are specifically using less of it due to your camera app's settings.

Thanks! Guessing that's heat-shrink tubing on top, to prevent sliding. Will try it with a new cable.
You could likely use the spring from a pen for it
Apply the same material that is on the inside wires to the outside.
