See no evil, Hear no evil (1989) Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder

Just watched this blind (haha) after seeing the two stars on the poster on Netflix as I was scrolling.

It was pretty fun! Not a cinematic masterpiece but enjoyable. Rated R for a few instances of breasts, an erection bulge, and lots of bad language.

I had a good time. I understand it wasn't a big success, and was the third of four movies they made together.

Wilder and Pryor are quite funny, often in an immature way. The female leads Joan Severance and Kirsten Childs do a great job, and Kevin Spacey plays a bad guy well.

Anybody else seen this?

I watched this on HBO as a kid in the 80s. Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder were always hilarious IMO.
- Depending on how old you were, I bet Joan Severance made an impact on you!
  
  How creepy was spacy? I remember how much he stood out and this was in the before times, like House of Cards before.
  
  Wait, Severance and Spacey were both in this?
  Recently watched Wiseguy for the first time, where they were paired up as creepy brother and sister, must have been only a few months before this was shot.
  
  When I was a kid watching Joan Severance in the film (on rented VHS), seeing such a beautiful woman suddenly made the world okay. In the UK we had on television "Jet" from the Gladiators and she also had the same effect.

Man, back then if you didn't see their movies together, you were missing out.
This is definitely the weakest they did, but it's still funnier than most movies made before or since. It was two comic masters chewing the scenery and not holding back.
Tbh, there aren't many comic duos that can top Pryor and Wilder, and they weren't even a true duo.
- I'm definitely going to check out the other three!
