Google says Android 16's new desktop mode builds on 'the foundation of Samsung DeX'

Google is building out better desktop capabilities for Android 16, and the company says it is leveraging Samsung DeX for that.

Does that mean desktop mode will be available by default? Some of the earlier reporting said it was hidden behind flags and may never see general release.
- It's currently hidden behind some developer settings. On Android 15. It probably won't be ready by the time 16 is released, but it'll probably drop in an update.
  
  That's what I'm hoping for. I doubt I'll use it, but I really liked the idea.
- From what I've read in the last few month, it will probably not be ready for the release of android 16.
