Boycott amazon, keep your current selection and use the device to read public domain/epub books.

Libby, calibre web server with deascm and dedrm plug-ins, and your jailbroken Kindle support your local library and let you keep the books.
- On this setup, does Libby run on the Kindle or...?
  
  I run it on my phone because it is easier to upload the epub to calibre from there for me.
Nice, I just watched a video today about jailbreaking and gave it a try and it's super easy, took like 10min and is fool proof. Hadn't had time to check out all the benefits though but KOreader seems really nice and just sending epubs to your Kindle w/o Amazon in the middle is nice too.
Can it still read books bought from Amazon?
