It wouldn't be the weirdest anime japan would've made. Two anthropomorphic poles observing the neighborhood, chatting about the the ins and outs of the residents, their secrets and the world around them in a philosophical way while being constantly reminded by their curse of being sentient poles. It'll probably end with one pole being downed and replaced while the other stays alone to ponder.
Japan has actually made an even weirder movie. The adventures of Electric Rod Boy is about a kid having a utility pole growing out of his back. It also includes vampires and time travel.
Yeah,that's what i sai...huh...what?
I want to watch that.
It's simple enough to be made by one or two people. Each ep would be like 5 minutes or so. I already imagined an ep where a resident ride next to one of poles with a dirty bike and would try to pin a missing cat notice on one the poles but the pole refuses. After discussing they both agree for the pole to point him to the last direction it saw the cat heading in exchange of him not sticking the notice to it because the other street poles are full of past torn street post and it feels like it's uglifying the view.
It would then prompt a philosophical discussion between the poles about them being privileged to be able to ask about being left clean compared to other object and the other street poles.
The message would be about personal object and street cleanliness.
The original, I think. Poor ME. You weren't a good OS.
Fuck you don't make me emotional about a goddamn corner pole :(
apparently the US was supposed to be growing replacements for billions of telephone poles for decades now and oopsy forgot to.
