I'm all for her, but conflict of interest with her husband being the TP of the Mercedes F1 team will make this impossible, no?
Exactly, a Wuzie Solff with all her competence but not married to Toto would be an amazing candidate. As it stands I can't see it happening.
The FIA president should in theory not have a lot to deal with F1, it's Sulayem who is overstepping his line constantly
Didn't Jean Todt go straight from Ferrari to FIA president?
I'm not sure if this is a valid argument, but maybe someone can explain what kind of decisions of FIA would benefit Mercedes AMG F1 (only)?
Innovations such as DAS, Flexi-wings, fuel-rates, mass, etc can be decided in a way as to advantage a particular design philosophy.
The FIA could direct Pirelli to spec tyres that most suit the Mercedes. Back in the day Schumacher benefited greatly from his tyres being specifically designed around his Ferrari, with other teams with the brand having to make do.
Financially, measures such as the capital expenditure cost cap waiver could be wielded to harm the competition.
Sheโs too competent. Itโd never work.
The sad truth..
Yeeees! This is what we need to see
Definitely!
Even with the Toto conflict, it would be a billion times better than the current situation. Take my money.
