There's a certain irony in Bush/Clinton Era NAFTA dismantling the labor movement by opening the borders (to foreign goods, but not foreign people) while Trump seems ready to obliterate the professional labor force by slamming the door shut (on foreign goods, but then importing a bunch of H1-B Visa holders).
Seems like a Heads Capitalism Wins, Tails Labor Loses situation.
Tariffs are a regressive sales tax on consumers. Nothing more.
The abject failure of the dems to explain that in simple terms boggles the mind.
Tariffs will only hurt you if you get a paycheck… oh wait that's all of you? YEAH!!! That's what we're saying. Tariffs will hurt you.
