January Windows security updates are breaking audio on PCs using external DACs

Windows 11 24H2, 10 22H2, Server 2019, and Server 2016 are all impacted.

I’ve noticed. My Legion Go won’t output audio over HDMI plugged into a USB 4 dock after updating. My desktop is working fine, since I have a Focusrite Scarlett interface plugged into there and haven’t suffered any lack of audio.
- I have 2 DACs and my focusrite is the only one to work. Get your shit together Microsoft.
