YouTube and Universal Music Group join forces to explore the future of AI music

I can't wait to see what this horrible duo will accomplish.

Also I believe there's an error in the title, shouldn't it be "exploit the future" instead of explore? 🤔

i honestly have so much trust into the whole music industry, and especially UMG, that id bet my best guillotine on this ending up to be absolutely detrimental to artists. if you have generative AI and can generate music for you, why even pay artists? sure sounds like the first step in that direction
- no, no, this is totally gonna end great. can't wait to listen to the latest ai generated hit by lil' nestle called "buy our chocolate" that's made using child labor to filter out the bad songs (they make tiktok kids pay premium dollars for early access and gauge those metrics) /s
