Miami-Dade’s newly elected property appraiser says it’s time for county property estimators to factor in the harm that climate change will bring to the local real estate market — and to lower property values accordingly.

Ok, now we did i put that comic panel with the board room exec pointing at the burning hellscape out side saying “we have to find a way to monetize this, and fast!”
I hope I am alive to see when climate change finally breaks greed. The walls will fail, the plans undone, and all of their dreams will come crashing down like ours did. Only then will they see none of it mattered.
They want lower taxes cause they’re gonna need more money in terms of maintenance spent on them?
- Basically, the total cost of ownership went up, so the set of potential buyers shrank, and the overall value went down, so the right amount to charge people for taxes is lower.
