The perks of being rich in the victorian period - you could do pretty much whatever you wanted, at the worst you'd be described as "somewhat queer"

Oh you snorted mummy dust mixed with cocaine and went on a murder spree? Not very becoming of a gentleman. Good thing you only killed the poors, God knows there's too many lazy rabble around.
I think the only thing that's changed is that our rich people lack imagination, and we describe them as somewhat cringe.
