Edit: you may not like the method but it’s seemingly way more effective than many other developed countries. Of course lots of factors at play here.

What do you mean? Some of the lowest crime rates in the world.
They do other things than just hangings. I wouldn't suggest that executive punishment is a solution to crime rates, just look at the USA.
Yeah other harsh penalties and strict laws. US death penalty is not a fair comparison because it varies state to state as do gun laws.
