I spent a few weeks there about a decade ago, loved the architecture of the city and the landscape. Plus the Vietnamese people were warm and welcoming. Hoping to go back to that part of the world again someday.
Did you take this picture? I love it by the way, good colors and feels like a candid slice of life there, captures that moment well.
I thought it was still great in 2019. And felt the same warmth and welcoming vibes, with plenty of great food.
It was obviously experiencing a lot of growth with plenty of tourists then. Some complained it was getting a little too touristy/crowded, but seems like you can find someone saying that phrase about nearly anywhere you go. Especially enjoyable places, which of course, tend to be popular.
Vietnam is growing majorly in tourism, parts of me hopes it doesn’t grow to much. I’m Vietnamese living in the states go there once in a blue moon. I love that more people are loving Vietnam.
I’m referencing more in things you can do, especially golf. Over the next couple of years Vietnam is looking to open 50 to 100 golf courses. I just hope they don’t destroy too many forests for some stupid golf courses.
