Meta Quest 3 FCC Approval Confirms 6GHz Wi-Fi 6E Support

The headset's FCC filings confirm the Wi-Fi frequency bands the device uses. In addition to the standard 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, it reveals Quest 3 supports the 6GHz band introduced in Wi-Fi 6E.

I'm really hoping the latency is good enough to replace my index. Will depend on how they change/tweak the encoding/decoding probably.
This is key for busy areas and to get maximum, unnumbered bandwidth. Using the Q2 on a dedicated 80MHz band (I live out in the sticks) with a dedicated router is indistinguishable to wired for me, a non-competitive gamer. Doubling that channel width - the potential for a Gbit dedicated link using cheap hardware - with (purported) 12ms latency is going to make pcvr (more) fantastic.
