It might be your mobile browser. I'm using Firefox's mobile browser. Chrome can be buggy sometimes.

Depends on the client that you're using, some work others don't.
Just tested on Voyager and Infinity for Lemmy, both worked.
If you're on Android, you can also open the links with ImgurViewer, it handles multiple sites
