does anybody use an external player? Android

if so, what do you use and why?

I've heard of folks using VLC.
- I forgot that this is a company that will actually just add features because you asked for them
I tried a few but they all seem to break fundamental features of Plex. I think they do it on purpose.
When playing media, outside of plex, I do use MxPlayer most.
I use MX Player, PowerAmp, and VLC for various things.
- And, on a side note, one of the best things about having a smartwatch is being able to control my phone's media players without taking out my phone.
  
  I should look into that. I've been looking for a remote shutter. I listen to podcasts and audio books when I game, and even though my phone is right next to me I use a Bluetooth speaker because I can control the media without waking the phone screen.
  what benefits do those third party media players give you?
