If only there was a solution! People are struggling to afford having children and a work/life balance. What in earth could they need? So mysterious.

Worth mentioning the South Korean 4B movement:
A women's movement that says no marriage, kids, sex, or romance with men. (the Korean words for these all start with B, latinized)
Another reason for the low birthrate will sound familiar: young people can't afford to start families. It's the logical end result of a system that incentivizes resource-hoarding. In the US, people are trying to ban abortions and birth control to make sure people still have kids because the rich old people need workers.

Japan is often cited for their low birth rate, but Korea’s is much lower. How they handle this, if successfully, might be a blueprint for other countries to follow
