I got a 9 volt battery three weeks ago for my multimeter, at home I put it aside somewhere the cats wouldn't get at it to play with it and lose it on me.
I haven't seen it since. I have no clue where I could have put the damned thing.
Get a new battery and in a couple of days the original battery will appear in a place you have checked multiple times.
Ya I picked up another one about a week ago now, so hopefully the first one shows up any day now.
Or you'll go to put the new battery somewhere and find the old one already there.
Sometimes I put stuff somewhere "safe". Which means I'll find it 2 years later.
