Oh nice. DoH is increasingly important to protect one's privacy.
7 0 ReplyEspecially since eveyone & their moms now uses a VPN, setting up an encrypted & no log DNS connection is vital for privacy!
6 0 ReplyNow if I could get my pihole to use DOH instead of my browser, that'd be great.
4 0 ReplyHave you considered switching to AdGuard Home? I think it supports DoH in both directions and provides most if not all that Pi-hole does.
3 0 ReplyIt also support DNS over TLS (which fedora supports for OS level DNS) and DNS over QUIC (Which android support and is my preferred because of optimized performance).
2 0 ReplyCan you make Firefox use it?
1 0 ReplyIt should be possible to configure DoH in Firefox settings under "General" - "Network Settings" right at the bottom.
2 0 ReplyTypically I just disable it. Will see what happens next time I run updates.

I run a local
unbound
instance, which talks DoH, DoT, etc., and then point my PiHole at that.2 0 ReplyDoes pihole not support dns over https?
1 0 ReplyIt's not supported and probably won't be. But I also have hopes. :)
