Not sure where else to post this. This is my boy Balto (the full husky), who unfortunately passed away during an emergency surgery on Monday to correct a diaphragm hernia. I'm going to miss him forever.
I'm so sorry to hear that. He looks very happy in these photos and I'm sure he loved the life you gave him.

But on a lighter note, I glad to see I'm not the only person with dogs that lay next to their beds instead of on them.

Yes, still in shock over this happening. He was only 2. We had no idea he might not have made it out of that surgery.
I had a similar experience a few years ago with gizmo, an extraordinary feline. I'm sure both are in a good place and forever alive in our hearts anyway.
Thank you for the kind words. We are still in so much pain from his loss. We did not expect to lose him during this surgery, especially at just 2 years old. I have to tell myself that we did the right thing and gave him the best year of life that any dog could ever possibly ask for.
