There are lots of B Corps out there these days, which I would say have at least some soul, but Dr. Bronner's is definitely something in its own class. I was surprised to discover Dr. Bronner's chocolate bars at the natural foods store the other day - honestly nothing special as far as taste goes, but the labels do have some of that classic vibe.
I met David at a queer psychedelic conference. Didn't talk to them for super long but they seemed like a genuinely nice person. Eccentric and a bit out there, but like someone just trying to do some good in the world. I've always found the companies branding and marketing a bit much but I never bothered to look into the company. Having met David and having read about the company a few times since, it's really pretty cool too see.
