Ask HN: Should I get a stand-up desk?
I've been thinking about getting one because I've heard good things, but just wanted to hear from you all about how it might help (or not help) you at work if you've tried one.

My wife and I treated ourselves last year. She stands all the time. I think I've stood once in the time I've owned it. That said, I still feel it was worth it. I'm 6-1 if that means anything and I do adjust the height often as my posture changes. I think it's helped with back pain quite a lot. One thing I didn't expect was how little it takes to be out of alignment. Like, sometimes a 1/2 inch adjustment takes me from ugh this isn't right to ahhh, perfect.
I'd buy one again if I had a do over.
