Six Secret Service agents have been issued suspensions for failures connected to last year's attempted assassination of then-presidential candidate Donald Trump.
They failed to secure the location, leaving an optimal sniper location 150 yards from the president unguarded and completely unwatched. After the attempt, they let the apparently wounded target of the assassination stand up, fist raised, for a photo op while there could still have been other shooters present. The only thing that kept Trump alive is that people watching the speech saw the sniper on the roof and eventually got a cop to got check. That cop's appearance seemingly rushed the sniper and likely caused him to miss his shot.
