Ironically they basically cancelled Picard after season 2 too.
then what was season 3 imho the closest it ever got to Star Trek?
Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed season 3 but it was basically a different show.
yeah but it kinda felt like that every season was a different show all together.
It seems like each additional season was an attempt at a massive course correction which is how S3 became massive fan service.
It was worth it just to get the band back together one last time.
So much so, that everyone in Season 3 basically forgot that Season 2 ... happened at all.
And Prodigy.
